Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to Selwyn Primary School, an Outstanding-rated primary school in Newham, where every child is encouraged to thrive and achieve their very best.
At Selwyn, we provide a happy, vibrant, and inclusive learning environment for children aged 3–11 years. Our vision is to equip every child with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed, both in school and in life.
We are also proud to be the primary resourced provision for deaf children in Newham, using a Total Communication approach to ensure all children can access learning and flourish as part of our community.
Our engaging and challenging curriculum is carefully designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities and events to bring together pupils, parents, and the wider school community.
Parental engagement is central to our ethos. Our Key Events for Parents Page provides parents and carers with an idea of just some of the activities our whole school community has planned every term – we hope to see as many parents as possible. Our parent survey results are available here: go Team Selwyn!
We are proud of the progress and success our children achieve, and of the positive feedback we continue to receive from parents and carers. At Selwyn, every child matters, and together, we are always aiming higher.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school; you will find below our programme of events for parents and carers for the autumn term.
